The Occupational Deafness Medical Committee is a statutory body set up under the Occupational Deafness (Compensation) Ordinance. Its function is to advise the Board on the technical, medical and professional aspects of conducting hearing tests and the fitting/supplying of hearing assistive devices.
The Committee is appointed by the Secretary for Labour and Welfare. Its members include four medical practitioners and an audiologist. The current term of appointment is from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2027.
